A number of  works conducted by Arthur Mendel were recorded on open-reel tapes in the late 1940s and early 1950s; they were kept in the library of William Hess, tenor and voice-teacher. These were later transferred to cassette tapes and, from  these, CDs were made. Be warned that there are sometimes faulty tape entrances into the music and that the sound is often poor; the performances, though, are magnificent. No texts; US$15 each CD, including postage. Thus far, the following works have been put onto CDs:
